Dance Styles
The Haripa style of dance is a unique modern blend of Giddha, Bhangra and Bollywood and is quite unique in the Asian Entertainments Industry. Our moves are feminine, energetic, graceful and uplifting. The choreography is varied and dynamic and tells a story.
Bhangra is the cultural folk music and dancing from the Punjab (North India); its roots can be traced back to the 1400s. The dancing is traditionally associated with harvest time, when farmers celebrated the fruits of their labour.
Today however; Bhangra is international. Its powerful rhythms have been remixed with all types of music from disco to R&B, Soul, hip hop and Latina. It has fantastic beats and the dancing provides a great work out for shoulders, arms and legs is a popular folk dance derived from Punjab region of Indian and Pakistan.
The ancient energetic dance known as the ring dance creatively displays feminine bodily grace especially of the arms and hands.
Bollywood dance is modern Indian Dance. The unique style of dance has its roots in classical and folk dance with the occasional Latino and Arabic influence.
